Our goal is to provide an open source solution
for visual rendering of interior mapping
OpenIndoor was born from the need to bring mapping to an even higher level of detail by including indoor spaces. The objective is to link the world of mapping with the world of building information management (BIM) by providing a 3D and interactive mapping.
25 years ago, the public gps revolutionized outdoor navigation. Today, everyone is equipped with a smartphone to locate themselves. Let’s open together the doors that lead to the inside of buildings and revolutionize once again the world of navigation. We rely on the best of open source technologies to unleash the potential of indoor mapping.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our solution is based on the open standards of cartography and Building Information Model (Open Street Map, JOSM, AutoCAD). We gather and exploit these open data formats within our solution to generate a virtual representation of the indoor environment. We then apply a graphic rendering to cartographic data and enhance them to produce an interactive and fully adjustable map.
As a young and innovative start-up, we sometimes look for motivated talents to join the adventure.
Why not you?
